things i LOVE about being unemployed ….
so obviously I am doing what I should and applying and investigating companies, deciding exactly what type of production I want to go in… but honestly at the moment I simply just want to enjoy not having a schedule and having long showers – actually, scratch the long shower, cause right now the flippin boiler is giving real trouble and instead of just standing under the perfect lukewarm stream, I have to play find the perfect temperature about every 7-10 minutes !! so irritating !! and soon enough I will have to go and hunt down and kill the landlord if he don’t get someone in here soon .. ok shiite !! I got sidetracked. but the best part about doing all these applications online, is that I get to do it all in my pyjamas and not even brush my teeth if I want to…
but as the days pass, there are moments of slight concern but then I have weeks like the one just passed and I say ‘now I get it, now I get it!!’ I get what it means to enjoy and breathe and stop to appreciate all the great things I have been able to do. So I thought to remind myself, and when I do get that job and get busy again, I can look back at this post and smile.
1. Spend the day with friends who are visiting and rekindle with friends who have just moved to londontown (see picture above). I spent the day vintage shopping & eating & drinking with Michael, & then got to see Willie who I haven’t seen in 10 years !!! and on the walk about we went to Chanel To Go.
2. I got to meet these 3 little piggies, in a butcher’s shop window in Angel.
3.
I spent another day helping my cuz find the perfect wedding dress for her special day in Tobago (for all those who are interested check out home sweet home ) – Whoop !! Whoop !! another legendary family wedding is on it’s way !!!!
4. I get to wake whenever I want to and when I go for an early which is rare, simply being able to do some pilates whenever I want and sit in my sweat if I want or strip down and walk in my born day outfit to my shower…. ooooorrrr I wake up and have m&m’s and coffee for breakfast.
5. Cooking everyday, fresh no leftovers, I don’t know how to cook for 1, so one day they will be leftovers cause fridge & freezer space is disappearing. Chicken, veggie & noodle soup yesterday, today chicken chow mien and a very very large slice of my ring finger !! and obviously that would happen the one time I DON’T CRY while cutting onions, I slice the be-jesus out of my finger…how come no one ever mentioned how much blood spews out and keeps coming, I have like 5 plasters on my finger !!! (shameless plug for my fav plaster of all time
6. Watching the most random movies, I LOVE movies, absolutely love them. And I really enjoy bad movies as much as good ones.
7. Watching easy movies, like jack&jill (I actually genuinely enjoy Adam Sandler) and writing this post, cause normally I would be now walking in the door from a long 2 show day, and simply wanting to go sleep. instead, I’ve just finished eating my bess chicken chow mien, a magum classic with m&m topping for dessert, green tea and after this, I’m gonna brave the shower.
8. Going to the movies by myself, not just on a Monday, and having the cinema all to myself cause everyone else is @ work !! btw, The Iceman – loved it !!
9. Reading a book cover to cover in 1 day. especially those cheap as chips free kindle books.
10. Being able to experience what retirement will be like, and feel even better knowing that I won’t get bored !!!
So I guess I’m good for the time being, enjoying not having a ridiculous schedule like my entire life has been, and I mean my entire life. from the time this dancing thing got serious, I was permanently busy & had a schedule… it’s been great…
oh ! i forgot there is an
11. Being available to help out my family & start my own event company ( another shameless plug – The Event Society)
I know I can’t keep this up forever, or maybe I could – hhhmmm *note to self – start thinking of pinky&thebrain scams* but until forever comes, I am going to enjoy this and sit in it, and absolutely love every minute of it, and grab those memories to keep me company.
walk good, bless. xoxo.
